Ta Da! This was a very happy time when we passed the final inspection and could move into the house. It wasn't exactly pretty yet, but it was four very solid, well-insulated walls and a water-tight roof. After the crummy trailer we had been living in, it was a castle. You can see the saguaro skeleton still standing. On the roof, you can see one side of a folding ladder. I used this for secure footing while I screwed down the metal roof. Now that the structure was complete, I could begin the pure fun of tiling and finishing plasters. (I am wearing the same clothes as in the beginning photo, but they are more ripped up! I think I have more gray hair, too.)
